Getting started with Aklamio means setting up your branded portal, choosing how incentives are tracked, and defining how rewards are validated.

Introduction

Aklamio’s omni-channel flow integrates incentive marketing journeys across online, call centers, shops and internal systems, with a central portal as the hub, flexible reward tracking & confirmation mechanisms, and scalable features like the Link API and agent management tools.

By following the steps below, you’ll have your branded portal up and running, with flexible hosting, secure tracking, and reliable reward validation methods.


Step-by-Step Guide

Set up the user journey

Creating Your Portal 

The Aklamio Portal is a central user interface that we will build for you, where customers can claim their rewards, access campaigns (e.g. Refer-a-friend), track the status of their incentives, claim their rewards or contact Aklamio's customer support in case of issues. 
Provide corporate identity assets to Aklamio so we can build the portal in your brand’s look and feel.

Choosing Your Hosting Option

You can decide how the portal is integrated into your digital presence.

  • Subdomain (preferred): Example: refer.yourbrand.com. Offers flexibility and a seamless customer experience.
  • iFrame: Embed the portal directly into an existing webpage.
  • Aklamio-hosted: Your portal would be hosted under Aklamio's domain, i.e. yourbrand.aklamio.com. This is usually a fallback option.

Setting Up Reward Tracking

Aklamio offers omnichannel tracking, enabling the seamless integration of incentive programs across online channels, offline experiences, and Point of Sale (POS) systems. To ensure incentives are tracked correctly, please decide on one or multiple of the following methods. 

Online Channel Tracking

  • Server-to-Server (API): Preferred option, secure and scalable. Please see API integration guide.
  • Client-Side (JavaScript): Added via Tag Manager during checkout. Please see the JS integration guide.

 

Offline Channel Tracking (Telesales & POS)

  • Aklamio Web Interface for agents: Manually enter rewards and invite new customers via our Backoffice.
  • Existing Agent Interface or POS system: Send sales data via Server-to-Server API endpoint.

Confirming Rewards

Once a referral is tracked, it appears as Open. This prevents fraud and ensures rewards are only granted once an invoice is paid.
You can confirm or reject rewards via:

  • Automatic API confirmation/rejection (recommended).
  • Bulk confirmation in the Partner Interface (CSV upload).
  • Single confirmation in the Partner Interface (especially relevant, when users had to provide proof of purchase via document upload)

 


Additional Information

Link API (referral programs only)

The Link API is an endpoint that can be used to generate a personalized referral link for a user. These links can be used to build custom experiences, such as showing a personalized link to an existing customer in an app or user account, or these links can be used in CRM activities, such as newsletters or order confirmation emails. The usage of these links is handled by you. 

Enables direct generation of referral links within:

  • Apps
  • Emails
  • Customer portals / internal areas

Entry Points & Funnel Tracking

Visibility of your incentive marketing programs is crucial to drive traffic to the incentive campaigns. In order to connect your whole user journey, which can be later accessed via dashboards in Aklamio's Partner Interface.

  • All campaign entry points should point to the Portal with a source parameter (e.g., ?source=broadband_home)
  • Allows detailed tracking of campaign performance.
  • Link API supports similar parameterization for attribution.
